we were staying with old friends. This location is convenient to everything;
10 minute walk to Central Station, 5 minute walk to tram line that connects
you to narly all the city. There was nothing we needed that was not
available. Without question we'd stay here again. Great value.”

Debra, Clinton, Missouri (US) suite (with private bath) which was two spacious rooms with a good sized closet in the bedroom and a beautiful view of a garden in the back and the Singel canal in the front. Accommodations were stylish and comfortable. Pepa and Esther were so helpful and welcoming. I would definitely stay there again. Very well located, just a few blocks from Amsterdam Centraal Station and close to the tram. Many cafes and shops close by.” - The internet service was spotty. There is a very steep staircase up to the room but Esther carried our heavy luggage up and back for us. I would not recommend this room for anyone who has trouble with stairs. The location was close to the centre (which we visited but much prefered the authentic old streets of Joordan) in the most beautiful neighbourhood, full of cafés, galleries, canals and bicycles! We just wandered around the wonky streets eating, drinking, talking to the fabulous local people and buying the most amazing food and vintage finds at the markets! I couldn't recommend this location/art gallery setting highly enough. Esther was very friendly and gave us a few recommendations of places to explore! After seeing the other neighbourhoods of amsterdam -book this b&b, you will definitely not be disappointed! Patio view room (Doubleroom) + “It was a great location. Minutes from the central station and close to downtown Amsterdam yet a nice quiet street. Esther, our host was great and being in a room right next to the singel canal was wonderful. We walked everywhere and there were great restaurants and cafe's all within walking distance. The patio room is up a very narrow steep wooden stair and a bit of a challenge to get your suitcase up but that is typical of the canal houses. The canal room is larger and has a wider less steep stair. It is 20 euros more per night. We were happy with our stay and would stay there again. The room was small but comfortable and there was coffee and tea and biscuits in a basket. It was our 40 year wedding anniversary and Esther had a bottle of wine and glasses in the room for us. Very sweet. I recommend B&B singel. ” - Nothing. It was all good. Canal view room + “La situation centrale, l'accueil et l'amabilité de la propriétaire, la chambre vaste et belle, le plateau de courtoisie (café, thé dans la chambre) et le linge de toilette.” - La vue décevante par rapport à la présentation sur Booking.com : la vue de la chambre donne sur une cour sans charme, celle de l'antichambre donne effectivement sur le canal et surtout sur les dames dans les vitrines en face, dont nous nous serions passé. Les wc sont dans la salle de douche qui est petite, en contraste avec la chambre. Le prix (en basse saison) n'est pas bon marché mais probablement en rapport avec les prix pratiqués à Amsterdam.

The room was (we had the patio view room), as well described in the advertisement, small but cozy, and had all the necessary, in the bathroom there is even a "bidè" which is a rarity in Amsterdam! we didn't choose the breakfast option, but in the room there is a small fridge and all necessary for coffee and tea, so that was enough for us. The view on the patio surrounded by the roofs is very ..bohemian! it was very romantic and perfect for a couple. The area is quiet.”

Canal view room A lovely quiet canal side apartment over an art gallery. I went with my 20 something son and found it to be a good base for waling tours and seeing the sights. It is a short walk from the central station and even closer to a useful tram stop.The apartment was clean and bright. Pepa is a fantastic hostess and provided a great breakfast!

De Canal - view room kamer was super schoon, comfortabel, aangenaam ingericht en had een artistieke uitstraling door de werken van de kunstenaars van de galerie. Wij zullen altijd herinnerd blijven aan de vriendelijke en warme gesprekken met de eigenares Pepa. Door dit alles hadden we het gevoel "thuis" te komen wanneer we in het B&B kwamen. Hartelijk dank voor alle gastvrijheid; wanneer we in Amsterdam zijn zullen weer graag in Singel 100 verblijven. We hebben onze kinderen en vrienden B&B Singel 100 van harte aanbevolen.

It's in the heart of the city on a beautiful canal. We enjoyed the freedom as if it was our own place and the owners had left everything to make our stay wonderful. Including all teas/coffee, plenty of big fluffy towels, a laptop for internet, a library of books, the most delicious bed etc. Also worth noting that Singel has a super gallery space with great art we loved to ponder in the privacy of our own time. I wholeheartedly recommend!

Canada I was pleasantly surprised at the size
of the loft. The sitting area overlooking the art gallery and the canal
was spacious and very comfortable. The desk was an extra luxury.The
bedroom was very large. The bed was extremely comfortable. The
bathroom was small but very adequate. The beverage center was an added
benefit. The location is one of the best in old Amsterdam. Just a few
minutes walk and you are at Central Station and also many of
the attractions like the 9 shopping streets, trams, etc.

tutti i comfort, tranquillissima ed in pieno centro città. A due passi
da quasi ogni centro di interesse: facilissimo raggiungere il centro e,
una passeggiata di 20 minuti porta dal centro alla zona dei musei.

La stanza "the patio view room" alla quale si accede con un romantico percorso tra quadri d'autore, seppur piccina, è calda e accogliente oltre ad essere dotata di ogni confort. Janica & Mark - Finland Singel100 (Canal Suite) is like living in your own apartment in Amsterdam, with all the necessary amenities; spacious room, comfortable bed, private bath, own patio, tea & coffee making facilities, free wifi, guidebooks and above all: privacy! The area is surprisingly peaceful for its central location, and the nearby cafés provide excellent breakfast. As the apartment balcony opens into the gallery space, art visitors can be heard into the room during day time. However, this didn't bother us, even though there was an exhibition opening with a full house during our stay. The interesting art work, the great canal view and the hospitality of wonderful Pepa makes all the difference between staying at Singel100 and a boring hotel.
Jens & Inger - Denmark The 2 previous times in Amsterdam, I have stayed at B & B. This time we chose B&B Singel100. It turned out to be a really good choice. The "opportunity" is on top of a gallery, so that from a landing there is direct access to the sight of art and a large window to the Singel canal. In the bedroom, there is a bathroom and a small walk-in wardrobe with coffee maker, kettle and fridge. From the bedroom you see through the window onto a patio. Everything is just so thoroughly delicious. The owner of the gallery: Pepa Santolaria is wonderful. We felt like we knew each other completely, as we passed through a half years lively correpondance. It stood at big smiles, hugs and kisses when we finally met her. Highly recommended, but you have to live with the visitors to see art, while otherwise extremely quiet while you live right in the city center and even overlooking some red lights .
